We all need protection from the sun – and so does your asphalt.
From day one of your asphalt’s life, UV rays from the sun and oxygen from the air combine to break apart the chemical bonds that give pavements their strength. Sealcoat will slow this deterioration process, protecting the integrity and appearance of your pavement. For those older pavements that need a little extra TLC, Sealcoat will provide the new wearing surface your asphalt needs for years to come. Generally, we recommend applying a fresh sealcoat application to your asphalt every 3-5 years depending on traffic, deterioration, and damage. However, if you choose not to properly maintain your pavement, you will run into severe alligator cracking and deep potholes that can cause harm to both drivers and pedestrians.
Some of the main reasons to sealcoat your asphalt include:
- Drastically reduce long-term repair costs
- Protect your asphalt from weather damage
- Protect your asphalt from chemicals, oil, and fuel spills
- Ensure that your pavement investment looks and feels great for years to come
